Words & Strings
Tuesday, July 23rd | 7-10pm The Little Shop of Hoarders 447 Monroe Ave, Rochester
Join us for an evening of readings and singing and strumming with Wisconsin superstars Chelsea Tadeyeske and Poor Ridley (aka Poor Moi, aka Ridley), and local/Zaftig fave Nia Shea. There might be a fourth? There might not? But there will be cold drinks and a hot mic, so don’t miss it! Click the artists' names below for more info:
Chelsea Tadeyeske is a poet and bookmaker from Milwaukee. her poems and prose strive to blur distinctions within genres and sensations commonly held as opposites: tragedy and comedy, childhood and sexuality, humor and horror, etc. to dig up the pulp of the mundane and dismissed within these interzones to redefine what has the capacity to be “poetic” or “meaningful”.
Nia Shea is a Rochester gal about town. She'll be reading new and old poems about mental health, dating, and living in these dopey times.
Poor Ridley will be performing a set of unusual and humorous songs and poems and other things.
